        Not exactly SF, but since there's a wide fan following for
        the actress in question...
        
        An article in the paper yesterday announced that Kirstie Alley
        is replacing Shelley Long next season on the TV show Cheers. Sam
        apparently sells the bar to some large corporation and Kirstie's
        character is sent to manage it. 
        
        I wonder if she'll have pointed ears?  And just what *is*
        this "large corporation", anyway?  Too bad Cheers is in Mass
        instead of NY or California... she could have a license plate
        NCC-1701. :-)
