I liked Philip Jose Farmer's _Dayworld_, although I recall one critic
having a different opinion. Does anybody have news about the sequel?

Yes, I read it. I too was disappointed. As I recall, _Dayworld_ was
faster paced and involved a good bit of weaving the events of different
days. I found the unique setting interesting. _Dayworld Rebel_ was
totally different, largely ignoring daykeeping, and you just follow the
protagonist through the story.
