What has happened to the SF artist Chris Foss? He's the guy who used to do the covers for Panther Science Fiction's books. He also designed the decor for the first Superman film, and I think he also did some of the designs for the film "Alien". You may also have seen his book "21st Century Foss". He seems to have disappeared from the scene - I haven't seen any books with his covers in a very long time. Does anyone know what has happened to him? -- POL

I'm also a big fan of Foss. He's one of a select few artists who
will get me to buy a book for the cover alone.
I haven't seen any covers from him for a long time. Perhaps he
moved into other areas. In addition to doing book covers (he
also did some covers for thrillers by, among others, Gregory
Jenkins) and film production artwork, he did some of the illos
for, believe it or not, JOY OF SEX and MORE JOY OF SEX. He
obviously has his fingers in a few different pies.
