If you live near a hobby store that sells role-playing game materials,
they will probably carry FASA's line of deck plans, which could
make your house look like a Klingon naval architect's...

in such schematics can also get them.

| Just to add that little bit of realism (to the interior decorating
I mean),
does anyone know where one could find one of those so cute klingon
'dogs' which featured in 'The Search for Spock'. I mean one of those
in th house would certainly be a good talking point and a great
deterent for would be burglars (you'd probably find only the guy's
clothing - if that !)

this week.
Well, that's what the ad said!

| re.4
I did finally pick up the schematics fom one of the Star Trek game
modules. They're quite good on deck plans, but don't go much into
detail in the warp or impulse engines. They are also of the original
D7 plans, not the K'T'NGA (sp?) class. On the K'T'NGA, are the
torpedoes based in what was the main sensor tube on the D7's?
Thanks for the ideas, by the way. I wish I could find my Starfleet
manual.

392.8 | Jupiter II | ELMO::JESSOP | | Thu Oct 09 1986 14:05 | 2 |
| Since I'm here now, I have another question, but this pertains to
Lost In Space. What was the main propulsion of the Jupiter II????
|
392.9 | RE 392.7 | EDEN::KLAES | Mostly harmless. | Thu Oct 09 1986 17:43 | 17 |
| With the original D7 Klingon battlecruiser (of the KLOTHODE
class - from Starstation Aurora's STARSHIP DESIGN MANUAL), the area
just below the bridge was the ship's main sensors.
When STTMP came along, the new K'TINGA class warship had the
photon torpedo tube where the sensor device was on the KLOTHODE
class.
On the TV series, Klingon warships fired DISRUPTOR BOLTS, not
photon torpedoes - for the movies' sake, I will assume that the
Klingons upgraded their battleships based on Federation technology.
BTW - WHERE/HOW did you get the schematics?

Somebody gave me the great suggestion to go to a bookstore or
hobby shop and pick up the Klingon Battle Cruiser game module for
the Role playing game of Star Trek. It gives you pretty decent
deck plans. It doesn't get incredibly detailed, but it gives you
a very good idea.
Mike
Any answers on the Jupiter II question??

392.11 | RE 392.10 | EDEN::KLAES | Mostly harmless. | Fri Oct 10 1986 10:24 | 14 |
| I'm no big fan of LOST IN SPACE, but I believe the JUPITER II
ran on atomic fission power.
I also happened to mention in this note that you can get blueprints
and manuals from such mail-order companies as Intergalactic Trading
Co., Inc. - you can get its address from THEBAY::STAR_TREK Note 67.
Incidentally, this company also sells a blueprint packet of
the JUPITER II spaceship.
Let me know how this method works out.

392.12 | ..... | ELMO::JESSOP | | Fri Oct 10 1986 13:10 | 7 |
| Will do! I might pick up both the Enterprise, the K'Tinga, and
the Jupiter II! Lost in space WAS different. I just don't remember
ever seeing any exhaust of any kind. I know it couldn't travel
faster than light, and I know they ignored the theory that time
slows down as you approach the speed of light.

PS: I have three view drawings of the K'T'NGA class Klingon ship
and the Constitution II Class Star ship that me and a friend did
on CAD/CAM UniGraphics - real beauts too!

*embarrassed* No!
Ah well, I still would like to. It seems I just never
get around to it! Now all I can think about is the new GALAXY
class Enterprise... I can't wait for it (and all the schems and
powertrain info) to come out!
Sorry to keep you waiting Larry!
