380.0. "THE Fannish NOTE" by GOLD::WRIGHT () Thu Sep 04 1986 13:55

All right, so there is a good showing of fandom around here, how about
a note dedicated to fandom in general and Cons in specific. And
since this note is proposing it, it might has well be the note to
do it in (no crude remarks...).

What I would suggest is we us this note to keep track of upcoming
cons, registration dates/fees, who has rides down, and any other
fannish type of information that would be of general interest.

    clark.

Well since it was my idea, I'll start this with a list of what cons
I know of in the next few months.

Halloween Weekend, Not Just Another Con in Amherst Mass.

Nov 14-16, Philicon in Philidelphia, 50th aniversy of Science
    Fiction Conventions.

Nov 14-16, Windy Con, Chicago, Regional, Similar (i'm told) to Boskone.

Jan 2-4, Eve Con, Crystal City, Va. The New years eve con, This
is its 4th year and hotel security has to go thru con security (which
is being run by a freind of mine, oh fun....) which means we own
    the hotel for this one.

Except for windy con I'm planning on being at all of these. As
far as registration information, that is at home and i'll try to
    post it tommorow or monday.

CREATION is sort of a general media convention. They try to
satisfy the comics fans, the trekkies, the Whovians, etc.,
ad nauseum, and manage to satisfy no one.

For anyone at the Denver StarCon (or anyone else with information).
I went to the convention on Sat. but one of the people I wanted
to see was Terry Erdmann, one of the heads of the Blue Blaze Irregulars
(from Buckaroo Banzia) was to give a BB rally on sunday, but I had
to miss it. Has anyone heard anything new on BB?
