Anybody else out there remember Lord Dunsany? I read a couple of books of his when they came out in the Ballantine Adult Fantasy series in the early seventies. (Ah, those were more innocent days. What does adult fantasy sound like to you? John Norman?) I read "The King of Elfland's Daughter" and "At the Edge of the World", but was too young to appreciate the light satiric tone. Now, of course, I don't have them available. What else did Dunsany write? /jlr

What else did he write? Lots!
Seriously, there are about 32 books listed in R. Reginald's
SCIENCE FICTION AND FANTASY LITERATURE.
The following are his books that have appeared in paperback as
part of Ballantine's Adult Fantasy line (dates are those of the
Ballantine AF edition):
AT THE EDGE OF THE WORLD (1970)
THE CHARWOMAN'S SHADOW (1973)
BEYOND THE FIELDS WE KNOW (1972)
DON RODRIQUEZ: CHRONICLES OF SHADOW VALLEY (1971)
THE KING OF ELFLAND'S DAUGHTER (1969)
OVER THE HILLS AND FAR AWAY (1974)
He's also famous for a series of collections of stories about
Mr. Jorkens and the Billiard Club, which include (dates are
those of the first editions):
(1) THE TRAVEL TALES OF MR. JOSEPH JORKENS (1931)
(2) MR. JORKENS REMEMBERS AFRICA (1934)
(3) JORKENS HAS A LARGE WHISKEY (1940)
(4) THE FOURTH BOOK OF JORKENS (1948)
(5) JORKENS BORROWS ANOTHER WHISKEY (1954)
