| There are also those who collect recordings of old-time radio shows.
Among these are _Dimension X_ and _2000+_, which ran in the late 1940s to
early 1950s (I virtually exclude the radio version of _Tom Corbett, Space
Cadet_.) There were also the continuing-series (serial) _Buck Rogers_
and for fantasy, the regional _Chandu, the Magician_.
Many tapes of these shows are available through dealers in old-time
radio programs, a number of whom advertise in the classified pages of
_Analog_, _Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine_, etc.
And of course, there are several recordings available almost anywhere,
like the Orson Wells broadcast of _The War of the Worlds_ ....

| I, too, had ordered THE MIST and love it.
I, too, have not ordered any of their other cassettes (yet).

| I just tried another of the ZBS tapes - this one featured a version
of "Sticks," by Wagner, a singularly creepy short story that's long
been one of my favorites. The story is Lovecraftian in plot, and the
audio rendition is nifty; *don't* listen to this one if you're home
alone! There's a point where Something starts breathing, and the balance
was so good that it sounded like it was coming from inside *me*. Brrr!
The flip side of the tape contains a couple of interesting tales by
an American Indian author, whose name escapes me. The stories are
"The Bleeding Man" and "Saturday Night at the White Woman Watching Hole,"
and are not your run-of-the-mill stories.

| I have a four-cassette set from ZBS entitled "RUBY", subtitled
something like "The Galactic Gumshoe." Well-produced, and something
of a romp. However, don't look too closely at the logic of the
story line, and the ending just sort of flops like a beached fish.
Nevertheless, I recommend it -- it's fun!

| I have a recording of a BBC radio play "The Technicolour Time Machine"
by Harry Harrison.
It is extremely good and copies are illegally available upon request to
me.
