205.1new store in Cambridge: PandemoniumLARGO::REDFORDWed Nov 15 1989 18:5613
    A new SF bookstore has just opened in Harvard Square in Cambridge.
    It's in the same space as the old Science Fantasy store, but is
    under a different owner. Spike seems to have gotten out of the
    business. The new store is called Pandemonium, and has a large
    collection of videos as well as books. I guess it's the
    Nineties, and print is becoming obsolete.
    The store is building up a collection of used books as well as stocking
    new ones, so here's a chance to get rid of all that junk you
    couldn't finish. Support your specialty bookstores!
    Down with faceless corporate chains! Buy from
    people who care about what they sell! I hope the new owner does well.

re: Pandemonium...

But does it have the same 10% discount that Spike's used to? (As much as
I want to support specialty bookstores, it's hard to justify paying full
price with Wordsworth's -10% just around the corner.)

    re: .-1

    Yep, they still have the 10% discount.
