191.0. "LOOKING FOR DARCY" by PEN::KALLIS () Tue Apr 09 1985 09:53

I've noticed that the SF Book Club once issued a COMPLETE LORD DARCY hard-
cover. I rather enjoyed the stories, and have pbs; however, the book
wasn't sufficient inducement to join the club (again: I was a member in
the 1950s).

If anyone has a copy they'd like to let go at a reasonable fee, please
contact me at PEN::KALLIS.

Thanks

          Or maybe you could just find out what the book's number is
      and just tell one of us in SFBC to order it. I'd be glad to but
      for some reason they stopped giving me their little order things.

I'll look it up ... then get back.

Many thanks.

	According to an ad on a two-year-old issue of _Analog_, the order
numbr is 7799 from the SF Book Club. Is there any member whom I can
deal through to obtain a copy (supposing one can still order it)?

Thanks,

Steve

I'm offering to help, Steve, but I'm in Atlanta. Where are you? Continue
this with mail? (RHETT::JELICH).

    Careful, Steve; I once ordered a book that *used* to be available
    from SFBC and they tried to charge me $35 for their same old SFBC
    edition. If it's still available, it'll go for the usual price,
    but if it's not in a current offering, WAIT!

    With Beth's generous help, I am now the happy owner of the volume,
    at the normal SFBC price (this happened some time ago, but I'm still
    most appreciative of Beth's help).

    It's a fun book to read from time to time, especially _Too Many
    Magicians_ (trivia question: what author is that title a takeoff
    on the works of?)
