180.0. ""1984" the movie" by USWAV1::HYATT () Sat Feb 23 1985 11:19

	Hallelujah !!! After such a dissapointing year for good Scifi
movies, especially that $30 million disaster....what was the name of it?
Oh yah, DUNE (or "Just a Little Spittle In Your Eye"), it is so nice to
finally see one of such fine quality as "1984".
	Mind you, this is not a pretty picture. But neither was the novel.
If you did read the novel, then I can almost guarantee that you'll like
the movie as much, or more.
	Acting (especially John Hurt) was excellent!!! The sets, costumes,
effects, all very realistic. The script, plot, all keep in line with the
novel (from what I can remember ) without getting in the way of the flow
of the movie itself.
	A definite "YES" on my list of SciFi films. But again, only if you
liked the book.

	I saw it at the Cinemas in Chestnut Hill, MA. But I'm sure that it is playing at several other theaters as well.
