| Welcome to the Greater Boston Area! Channel 56 has the local broadcasting
rights for Star Trek. Try looking on the weekends around 6-7pm. I have not
seen the show in some months. Channel 10 or 12 in Connecticut (south of the
boarder) also have the show, but the local reception is poor.
My favorite lines from Star Trek are:
Spock: You are an excellent star ship commander, but as a taxi driver, you
leave much to be desired.
Scotty:: I don't know if she (the Enterprise) can take much more of this.
Kirk: One to beam up.
McKoy: Blasted Vulcan.
Computer: "Working"
Come to think of it, the last four lines are in most all of the Star Trek
shows.
Jim
P.S. Wow, what a concept, moving from Southern California to Boston!

| Channels 10 & 12 are from Providence, Rhode Island, not Connecticut, but no
matter, since neither of them are showing TREK at the moment. Channel 10 *was*
showing them at 5:00 every weeknight, but stopped sometime last month. Too bad,
too, because while they were showing cut prints, they were so skillfully cut,
that it was almost unnoticible.
Channel 56 shows it at, I think, 23:00 Saturday night, but I don't know
if they do at any other time. If you ever get cable tv, you might check out WPIX
(Channel 11, New York), which shows ST at midnight every night except Saturday.
Two warnings though: (1) they aren't so skillful on the cutting, and (2) they
don't always start on time.

| My favorite speech was from requiem for methusalah:
TWO SHOT INTERIOR DAY
McCoy
You know, I feel sorrier for you than I do for him.
You'll never know the things that love can drive a
man to:
(beat)
the broken rules, the desperate chances, the glorious
victories, the glorious defeats. All these things
you'll never know, because love isn't written into
your book.
(beat)
Well, I can tell him later about Flint, or you can.
(beat)
I do wish he could forget her.
Goodnight, Spock.
SPOCK
Goodnight, Doctor.
SOUND of DOOR opening and closing. EXIT MCCOY.
da-da-daaaaaa, da-da-da-di-dummmmmm.
Way to go, Spock.

| Channel 50 in Derry, New Hampshire shows Star Trek at 8:00 every weeknight.
They do cut some but do an ok job of it. I am not sure if this station
comes in good in the Boston area.

| It used to be on Atlanta's 36 until they replaced with Petticoat Junction
(yuk) or some other such garbage at 4 every day. Now it's on weekends at
noon.
