1402.0. "First Dive of Season" by CONSLT::DREW () Tue May 06 1997 13:39
Last Sat. I had my first dive of the season at Nubble Light.
I was opening up the summer house, so it was a good excuse
for a dive. My dive partner was supposed to meet me at my
house at 8:00 and never showed. I linked up with 2 other
divers at the Nubble and was in the water by 9:00. The surge
as light, viz was about 25 feet. The water temp at 15 feet
was 38 F and at 46 feet it was 34 F. I was in a 6 mil wetsuit
and was quite confortable. Not too much sea live around, saw
a good size sea robin, few small star fish and some small
urchins. The divers I met only wanted to do one tank so it was
a quick day.
I got the summer house opened and a dive in, a good day
all around. I may try to get in another dive this weekend.
The tides high around 3:00 on Sat.
