839.1 | it's on my list of things to do | ZEKE::BURTON | Jim Burton, DTN 381-6470 | Fri May 16 1997 14:45 | 13 |
| I haven't put the new parts list together yet, but plan to do so as soon
as I return from DECUS next week. The Scheduler and Console Manager are
the only new packages on the pricefile at this time. I kept the same UPI's
and the new packages are QB- and QM- part numbers. You can pull them up if
you wish. Just keep in mind that they are not scheduled to ship until
the end of June.

839.2 | Customer waiting for a quote... | RCOCER::MICKOL | I sell Alphas to IBM | Wed May 28 1997 03:29 | 16 |
| A customer wants me to quote Polycenter Console Manager for 4 systems. Do I
use QB-V01AA-WB with quantity (4)? Is this software on the Condist Layered
Products CD? The above part number indicates TK50. Is it available on CDROM?
And is the above part number for both VAX & Alpha? The only part number for
Alpha (upi=2pc) is QB-2PCAA-WA which is the $83K license for many users. I
find no QM- part numbers with the above two UPIs.

Use the QB-V01AA-WB part number. That will get you the new version that
supports the latest versions of the op systems. The QB- kit contains
media (CDROM for Alpha, TK50 on VAX), doc, and LMF license. This part
number will be active until July 1, 1997. CA only offers QB- kits, no
QM- license only products.

839.5 | | CSC64::BUTTERWORTH | Gun Control is a steady hand. | Thu May 29 1997 20:12 | 9 |
| FYI, the PCM kit is designed to install on VAX or Alpha architecture
so you could use the Alpha CD to install on a VAX.
Note also that CA's kits are ISO-9660 format and not the OpenVMS ODS-2
structure. All this means is that you have to mount the CD a special
way.

We would like to ensure that we order the 1.7 version of PCM for our
customer do we still use the current QB- Number ??
Does the current QB- number reference the 1.6 release if so what
happens to this number after 1-Jul-97 ?
