    Hallo,
    
    I got a question from a customer who has Polycenter System Watchdog
    in use. 
    
    They want to use PSW Agent on IBM-RS6000 with AIX V4.1.3,
    but SPD says, that PSW Agent only supports  V3.2.4 and 3.2.5.
    
    Anything known about the new version.
    
    There is also nothing in the 'release schedule' about 4.1.3
    
    Is it possible to get an answer from CA?

CAs strategy for the POLYCENTER products is published on their web site.
They have no plans for UNIX versions of System Watchdog except on Digital, so 
dont count on any upgrade for the IBM AIX agent...

POLYCENTER Product release details from CA have already been posted in detail 
about 40 notes back - index between notes 750 and 820 for all the details.

CA has plans to update the OpenVMS, Digital UNIX, and HP-UX Watchdog Agents
to 7.x, 4.x, and 10.x respectively.  These engineering plans have been 
submitted for approval, but have not been approved yet.  No plans have been 
submitted to update the other Watchdog agents.  CA claims they have received 
no DARS (requests for new functionality) for the other agents.  If you need
these agents updated, please flood my FAX (DTN 381-0022; 603-881-0022) with 
DAR forms.

Is that still the situation... since it's listed as follows 
elsewhere which rather implies that it's expected out imminently 
with support for 4.0 (will this cover 4.0b??????) 

I'm not nitpicking - I've an upgrading customer who needs to know 
all this (and more - same for console manager and netview)!

Oh it's such fun supporting someone elses products with no clear
support channels!!!!!!
