As I have seen Polycenter Performance Advisor 2.3 will be supported on VMS 7.1 . I also read somewhere that CA would produce new licenses for the Polycenter products. Lot's of customers are paying maintenance (SUSL) for these products. Will they receive the new versions and the new licenses without additional charges ? Beside the "standalone" products, the licenses for DECPS-DC and DECPS-PA are also included in some NAS packages starting from NAS version 3.0 (VMS 5.5-2) up to NAS version 8.1 (VMS 7.1) One of our customers runs NET-APP-SUP-250 on about 1200 nodes. This license includes the Polycenter Performance Advisor Data Collector. Will the customer receive licenses for all these systems or will DECPS-DC still run with the NET-APP-SUP-250 PAK ? The same question must be asked for NET-APP-SUP-300 and NET-APP-SUP-400 where both, the Data Collector and the Performance Analyzer are included. Our customer runs NAS300 and NAS400 on about 50 nodes. Thanks, Hanspeter

I will let Curtis Chase, the POLYCENTER MCS Product Manager, answer this one. Jim

Well, probably the discussions with CA are not finished yet but the customer likes to have an answer soon. He is affraid (so we are), that the Performance Advisor products will be taken away from the NAS-Licenses. On the other hand we have seen big price increases on these products (NAS250 was increased 75% over the last 4 month). Less value for a higher price ? Hanspeter
