Watchdog V2.3, that goes into Beta in February, supports V4.0A.

Good news, Jim.
I have a customer who intends to upgrade his systems from Unix 3.2C to 4.0A.
He has the whole Polycenter product family and wants to know when it'll be
ready for 4.0A.

Jim,
One of our customers wants to migrate to Digital UNIX V4.0B soon. From the
products sold to CA, they currently use Watchdog, Scheduler, Console Manager,
Performance Advisor. I'm particularly worried about the Scheduler: I reported
two bugs (minor but annoying) and I cannot even get Digital to transfer the
calls to CA! Is the agreement for Scheduler that it will be supported as
long as there's a demand as well?
Would you please let us know what info you have? I'll happily take a fax if
re-typing it is the problem.

Does anyone know if the Curtrent version of Watchdog (whatever it is
that runs on Digital UNIX V3.2C) will actually work on V4.0B? Has
anyone ever tried it?
My customer must upgrade to V4 very soon for new hardware support and
would have to do a lot of work to change their system management
interface.

I have not heard of anyone trying it, but I would tend to doubt that it would
run trouble-free. There were some major changes made to the operating system.

When your dealing with a bureau like the U.S. Dept. of Immigration
and Naturalization it can take a while.
