Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) today began full-scale
distribution of Unicenter TNG (The Next Generation), the company's
ground-breaking enterprise management platform. Unicenter TNG is the first
solution to manage, monitor and control global IT resources -- from the
desktop to the mainframe, from LANs to the Internet -- with a business
process perspective.
Unlike platform- or function-specific point products that manage only a
single resource such as a network or system, Unicenter TNG reaches out to
every IT resource--including networks, systems, applications and
databases--regardless of type or location.
Since May, Unicenter TNG has been in controlled release to selected clients
and strategic partners, many of whom have leveraged Unicenter TNG's
customization capabilities to meet specific business requirements. This has
further expanded the management scope of Unicenter TNG to control
additional business assets and processes throughout the enterprise. Among
