A little while on and there's another case of "cannot find cpu definition" in this case though it's causing dxadvise to crash when it gets this error. Customer is selecting a small amount of data on his alpha station 1000a running dUnix v3.2g. PSPA is v3.07b. * Is there a more recent version of PSPA which will run on v3.2g which will correctly recognise the machine? * Is there a version for v4.0* which will support the machine? * Is there a hack/workaround of any details we can add to a reference file somewhere so it can recognise it? * Is there a patch for v3.07b to stop it crashing when it can't find a definition for the cpu? * If no-one here can point me at any of the above, do we still have engineers for this product in the company?! thanks in advance Jo Coffey Unix support UK CSC. | |||||

Someone has suggested that 3.07b does not (nor do any 3.0 versions) support digital unix 3.2g - if this is true will 3.1 support it? (due release 7th May) The futures documentation says >* POLYCENTER Performance Advisor V3.1 - Supported on: DIGITAL UNIX V3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 4.0 > - Status: Beta is complete; release slipped from March 31 to May 9 > - Next release is planned for Nov/Dec 1997; now soliciting > requirements However I'm loath to take it that means it supports v3.2g since v3.1 didn't even ever exist so the documentation has already proved inaccurate. Anyone here know? Jo Coffey Unix support UK CSC |
