2227.0. "SNMP cache corrupt, ovwdb core dump?" by CHEFS::DAVIDSONS () Tue Mar 25 1997 15:46

    Suddenly I'm unable to start netview, following errors logged.
    I've followed the diagnosis guide, clearing databases etc. but
    problem persists.
    
    Any idea why?

    Hi Stuart,
    
    I can't tell you why the SNMP Configuration Cache is corrupted.
    
    However, try issuing the "xnmsnmpconf -clearCache" command which
    will remove all entries from the SNMP configuration cache.
    
    Hopefully, this will correct your problem.

    I've seen this exact same problem here.  I don't know exactly
    why this is happening but I think it has something to do with
    security.  Have you done anything with nvauth?  Is DCE installed?
    
    I know...it's frustrating.  If it's any consolation it is
    happening to me also.
    
    Also, could you try installing PNV V4.1B?

    Also, after running pnvsetup-->Control-->Stop all daemons check
    if anything is left in /usr/OV/pids and /usr/OV/sockets.

    Upgrade to V4.1B fixed it.
