2223.0. "no format in trapd.conf problem" by TRLIAN::COFFIN () Fri Mar 21 1997 12:52

    

I'm trying to get an enterprise specific trap recognized through the event
configuration on NetView. The trap is logged in the trapd.log file and
an event is generated as described below. However, the ? NO FMT IN TRAPD.CONF
message is being generated and the trap is not being recognized as the
entry in the trapd.conf file as described below.

Our MIB is loaded in NetView and our Enterprise Identification is

ipfm	1.3.6.1.4.1.36.2.15.2.99

in the Event Configuration menu.
We are attached off of the decosf tree, as the esnmp example is, for now.

Any idea what we are doing wrong?

Also, what function does the Source Character have, it is set to A below
and what do the following "4 0" mean.
