    We've just set up MSK (Monitoring Solutions Kit) V1.0 on an NT client
    sending SNMP traps to DU (V3.2D-2) PNV (V4.1a).  The NT MSK client
    sends info as hoped to the DU PNV network management station on boot
    up.  The problem is there are 2 Events in the Events Display window
    in PNV for every occurence These events are:
    
    	NO FMT IN TRAPD.CONF mgmt.mib-2.snmp (1.3.6.1.2.1.11 generic:0
        specific:0 args(0 
    
    	MSK - MSK Agent is starting
    
    	MSK - Disk E:\ has about 3% free space out of (1001.08 MB).
    
    	MSK - Disk F:\ has about 11% free space out of (509.72 MB).
    
    	? Agent Interface Up (linkUp Trap) enterprise:ENTERPRISES
        (1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.1.3.1 args(1
        [1] mgmt.mib-2.interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifIndex.1 (Integer): 1
    	
    It looks like the 1st and 5th entries by enterprise # are not in the
    trapd.conf (that's another issue).
    
    Does anyone know why events from the MSK NT Agent show up twice? This
    is not true for any other standard events that come thru?

	I don't know anything about your application, but it looks like you've received 2 different traps. One is coldStart and the other is linkUp. Mike

	I hear what you're saying, but what I didn't display in .0 is that for each of those events listed - there are 2 entries in the Events Display window with the exact same time stamp. A two for 1! paul

	do you have actions defined for those traps that are duplicates, and do the actions have "" characters?

	Nope. There are no actions for the MSK Traps on the PNV DU box. The Traps were added right out of the box from a .bat file which we got from PNV DU and had minor edit to swap the "" around MSK - $1 to ''. Other than that no changes or "enhancements" were made. /paul
