| At this point I would no longer recommend deploying PNV V4.1c
As you can see from the announcement in note 13.6 we will shortly be
releasing the Tivoli branded version of NetView for Digital UNIX.
It is likely better to ask a customer to delay upgrading for a few weeks
rather than suggesting that they upgrade from, say, V4.1b to V4.1c and then
a few weeks later ask them to install yet another kit.
This is especially true for any customers who may be requiring support
in the near future, since future ECOs will be based on the TME 10 NetView
kit rather than the POLYCENTER kit.
We are continuing to investigate a small number of problems which appear
to be present in certain environments where PNV V4.1b or V4.1c are installed.
However any corrective action for those cases will also be based on the
TME 10 NetView kit.
The TME 10 NetView kit for Digital UNIX will be available for internal
use shortly. Watch this space for new procedures for acquiring that kit.
If you have an urgent need for PNV V4.1c in the meanwhile please contact
me by Email.
