517.0. "Not So Current Events" by NEWVAX::KSCHOFIELD () Tue Feb 11 1997 08:41
Hi,
I have an application which sends SNMP Traps to NetView on a regular
basis (every 6 minutes). If I open the Current Events window I can see
the Traps being displayed. Then they stop. I think that this is a known
problem, but I need to know how to get around it, ie. which deamons to
restart.
Also it would be nice to know how to preempt this situation as it
seems to happen randomly. There seems to be no indication that anything
is wrong.
My system is Alpha XL 266 with 80Mb RAM.
Thanks,
Keith

| Keith,
Suggest restating the current events applications and if
that doesn'r work then stop and reatart all the daemons.
No suggestions on how to preempt the situation at this
point.
