| Has this request gone to NetView-NT Heaven? Or worse?
I posted the basenote on this topic. I was told that the request was
being forwarded to the Product Manager. Is the PM still working for
digital? do we still own NetViewNT? is there still any plans to
deliver a product that support WNT V4.0 in 1-2 months?
The client that I had interested in NT is slowly starting to take a
more serious look at HP OpenView on HP/UX... sound familar?

492.12 | Still ticking... | TUXEDO::MINTZ | Erik Mintz | Sun Mar 16 1997 22:42 | 16 |
| 1) The product manager (Suvankar) still works for Digital. I would expect
that he has added you to the list for FT. The field test has not yet
started, but is expected very shortly. I have seen a pre-beta copy and
it is worth the wait.
2) We never owned NetView, on any platform. It has always been owned
by IBM, now IBM/Tivoli. Digital continues to distribute it as always.
You can find details of the new features and schedule info in the NetView PID.
For more details contact Suvankar.
You might want to check out note 8 in the NOTED::NETVIEW conference
if you haven't been keeping up with the recent changes.

| Is there a more accurate date for the next release of NetView to support Windows
NT 4.0 Alpha?
My customer is running Windows NT 3.51 to run NetView, and rebooting 4.0 to run
another application, and would like this situation to cease ASAP. 8-)
(I've also sent mail to the PM, but it can't hurt to ask more than once.)

| 2.4 is all very well, but it explicitly states that the FT kits are for internal
use only, and may not be given to customers. Since, as I stated, I want to fix a
customer situation...

| True, 2.4 says "for internal use".
If there is a need for an external customer, contact Suvankar Ghosh.
