| I have copied the Netview NT user guide from alarms and tried to print it on an
LPS32 which prints only an error message complaining about "ineto" not being
defined.
I get the same error, only more detailed, when I try viewing the file with
Ghostview. I include that below.
I read somewhere else that this guide was produced in Word. Could you make the
.doc file available, so that one might have a chance to print the book.

| Are you printing from an NT machine, or a VMS machine? .ps files can
be printed from a VMS machine by specifying /param=data=post qualifier.

483.9 | No go ! | COPCLU::EBC | | Thu Feb 13 1997 03:50 | 12 |
| I used ftp binary (since the pointer for Decnet on TUXEDO does not work) to copy
the file from alarms to a VMS system.
I print to a an LPS32 with the command:
PRINT/QUE=DMO019LP/PARAMS=(SIDES=2,data=post)/noti USER_GUIDE_FINAL_V31.PS
and get the error:
%DCPS-W-UNDEF, undefined: Name not known - offending command is ineto
Supporting a product is difficult if you can't even read the documentation, and
it does make life a lot easier if docs are formattet for printing on commonly
available printers.

| The disk on TUXEDO containing the documentation has had a hardware
failure and is in the process of being repaired/restored.
The "user_guide on ALARMS not printing" problem has been verified and
is being looked at.

483.11 | Everything should be OK now | TUXEDO::BAKER | | Wed Feb 19 1997 13:24 | 7 |
| The disk on TUXEDO has been restored and everything is available.
Use ASCII type transfers when doing FTP transfers of .PS documentation
from ALARMS, that was the other problem. It doesn't work if the
type of transfer is binary.
