-TME 10 NetView V4.1c for Digital UNIX
-POLYCENTER NetView V3.1 for NT (SSB version)
These kits can obtained via FTP from the server took.eng21.lkg.dec.com
(IP address 16.21.144.135). You will need a password to access this FTP server
which can be obtained from Marijane Beaudet (tuxedo::beaudet).
You will also need to acknowledge via email to Marijane that you accept the
terms and conditions of the following INTERNAL USE LICENSE before obtaining the
password.

purposes of internal use within Digital such as managing internal Digital
networks, evaluating NetView or doing a demonstration of the product.

o You cannot use this kit for revenue generating purposes of any kind, e.g.,
using the kit to deliver a service, managing a customer network, or selling
this software to a customer.
o You cannot transfer this kit to anyone else.

Any violation of these terms could result in legal liabilility to Digital and
disciplinary action against the violator

| SUBJECT: NetView "Internal Use Only" kits, pointers, problem
reporting procedures, and engineering support contacts.
KITS: "Internal Use Only" kits are available by sending a request to
Marijane Beaudet (TUXEDO::BEAUDET or [email protected]). In the
request include a brief statement about what the kit will be used
for, acknowledge that you agree to the "Internal Use License
Agreement", and an e-mail address to which to send the password of
the FTP account.
Kits are located on a FTP server. The server is a VMS system with
an address of took.eng21.lkg.dec.com (16.21.144.135).
The following files are available:
"nvntv31a.zip" is a ZIP compressed file of the POLYCENTER
NetView For Windows NT V3.1 " (PNV-NT) product for
ALPHA based systems. This file contains 22,414,003
bytes.
"nvntv31i.zip" is a ZIP compressed file of the POLYCENTER
NetView For Windows NT V3.1 " (PNV-NT) product for
INTEL based systems. This file contains 20,612,384
bytes.
"nvntv31.wri" is a MicroSoft WORD document file containing
installation instructions. This file contains
41,173 bytes.
"pkunzip.exe" is an INTEL excutable of the compression utility.
This file contains 41,772 bytes.
"readme.txt" is a version of this file which covers NetView for
NT and DUNIX. This file contains ??? bytes.
Kits may be transferred using FTP in binary mode. To obtain the
kit via FTP from TOOK execute the following commands:

EXPANDING NT FILES:
Once the files are copied to your NT 3.51 system, uncompress the
kit using the pkunzip utility by typing:
pkunzip -d nvntv31.zip
Read the nvntv31.wri file to get information on how to install the
kit. This file is a Microsoft Write file. Type the following to
read it:
write nvntv31.wri

PNV-NT databases. You can move to a different product database by
doing "Select Product". Please do your best to enter problems in
the appropriate database, but don't overly agonize about this, we
can and do move cases between databases after analysis.
It is recommended that you take a few minutes to familiarize
yourself with this problem reporting system.

I am pleased to announce the start of the Field Test (FT) process for
NetView V5 on NT. NetView V5 on NT has significant new functionality
including:
o Full Client/Server Support
o Support for NT 4.0
o Powerful new events subsystem providing significantly higher events
processing throughput
o ODBC/SQL interface support
o DHCP support
o Enhancements to the GUI
Internal FT (IFT) candidates may obtain the FT kit via FTP from the

(EFT) candidates are being directly mailed their CDs. As demand from

from EFT candidates.

acknowledge to Marijane Beaudet via email that you accept the Tivoli
license terms and conditions which she will fax to you.

agree to the license agreement at the end of this note.
You will then receive a password for the FTP site and instructions on how
