I've put an electronic ignition system on my two stroke bike and there are superb sparks from the plugs......... I've checked the timing as per the instruction booklet with the ignition unit and it seems OK. The engine won't fire properly and keeps back-firing intermittently. Has anyone any idea what could be causing the problem? Cheers

possibly you may have air leaks in the exahst system - near the headers. second thought is the advance - retard working ok. if you cant fix it you could try Dynotech on the basingstoke/reading road (bramley) I have just been involved with putting a katana back together with proper tuning and some changes to the carbs it just produced 108bhp at the back wheel. If you budget for about 25/hour you wont be far wrong John | |||||

Thanks for the response. The issue was the advance/retard settings when re-checking. Now it's firing really sweetly! Tim |
