679.0. "Command recall using arrows in a prog." by JEREMY::DAN () Wed Feb 10 1988 03:19
Subj: Command recall using arrow keys
I wonder if anyone could help me.
What I would like to have is a DCL-like feature of recalling the
last 20 commands using the arrow keys, in an application prog.
According to the I/O manual (Terminal Driver chapter) the only way
to do it is use the modifier which disables the driver from recalling
the last typed command when an up-arrow key is pressed, and
'do it by yourself'. I wonder if anyone has a routine (or know of an
existence of one) which does the management of a cyclic 20 x 80 bytes
buffer and handles the arrow I/O.
