591.0. "SYSUAF.DAT From Another Machine" by HKOV02::TSANG () Mon Oct 26 1987 08:27
I am trying to copy the SYSUAF.DAT from one machine to another in
order to save time for duplicating the user account information.
When the machine is restarted, most of the non-captive users can
access to the system without problem. However, the captive users
are rejected because of 'no captive file found'. If I take off the
captive flag, the user can enter the captive environment without
trouble. It seems to me that the captive account should have the
account flagged captive. I would like to remain the account flagged
captive and points to a particular captive command file in LGICMD.
In fact, what is the reason that the LGICMD file cannot be found
even it is defined in the captive account? Is it due to the SYSUAF.DAT
was formed from different machine?
I would appreciate for any advice and hint.
Regards,
KC
PS: The system is under VMS V4.5.
