Our cluster just implemented a cluster alias (finally). Now, unfortunately, I can't get into any of the restricted NOTES conferences that I am a member of (because I'm listed according to node name, not cluster name). Is there some way I can convince NOTES / DECnet to not use the alias when opening notes files?

NCP>set/define obj notes alias outgoing disabled
Never tried it, so please don't quote me on it
Of course you need privs to do the above.

The suggestion in .1 will work, of course, but may then prevent
other people from accessing restricted conferences because
they are registered under the cluster alias.
Contact the moderators of the conferences involved and ask
that your cluster alias be added to the list of node names
from which you can access the conference.
