546.0. "Can U figure it out???" by CURIE::DECARTERET (Jason DeCarteret) Fri Sep 04 1987 23:38

One time I was hacking aroung on the system when all of the sudden
I notices that the error messages changed. Heres and example...

%YOU-R-STUPID% - You screwed up Idoit.
      changed to
    You screwed up Idoit.

Could someone tell me how I did this?? I think I prefer the second
way as it comes across nicer.

        YUP,
        	Set message /(no)facility/(no)ident/(no)severity/(no)text

        Where

%DIRECT-E-OPENIN, error opening DD:[QUODLING]*.*;* as input

        %DIRECT is facility
        OPENIN is ident
        -E- is severity
and the rest is the text.

Then of course, you can always write your own message file.
        (Like to april fool one.)
