Did VMS V4.5 disallow the processing of escape sequences in the personal MAIL name? I used to be able to bold my personal name when i sent mail to someone (that is it appeared bolded when they received it while logged in), but now it does not seem to work and i'm not sure when i first noticed this problem. I know that for several of the past releases of VMS you could no longer send escapes in the textual body of the message and still have them processed, but you could as far as the personal name went. -jim-

That's not a feature, it's a bug. And it's fixed in V5.0 at the very latest. Jon |
