466.0. "Recording PHONE conversations ?" by PILOU::BONGARTZ (Happy Hacker) Thu May 07 1987 00:59

    Hi,

    	Just got thru with reading all the stuff in here, took
    	me a while but quite interesting ...

    	Using the C3 program described somewhere else in this
    	conference, I found that within PHONE.EXE there are 2
    	lines saying:

    	PHONE CONVERSATION TRANSCRIPT!_!_!_!_%D!_!_Page !2<!UL!>
    	I AM NOW RECORDING THE CONVERSATION UP TO THIS POINT.

    	Now that sounds like a nice feature to me, is there any
    	way to activate it (yet) ? Looking thru the sources shows
    	that the code is already there (at least parts of it),and
    	also the help file (commented out). Anyone knows when it
    	will be implemented ?

    	Also , what about the 'force_third_party' command from the
    	phone protocol (note 215.3) ? Is it used anywhere (or *can*
    	it be used by some procedure) ?

    		Any Ideas ?       ?

466.2how about set host/logVIDEO::OSMANtype video::user$7:[osman]eric.sixThu May 07 1987 18:088
Well, the inexpensive solution might be:

	$ set host/log ...
	$ phone ...

(Is DIGITAL required to supply a beep every 15 seconds if you do this :-):-)

    Where is this C3 program elsewhere in this conference?
    There are no key words defined, nor is it part of any
    title.

    The C3 program is something that finds text strings in images or
    other files. It available from the Software Tools Clearinghouse
    (aka STC) on node METOO.
