....I just noticed (By forwarding mail to myself out of notes)
that, unlike VMSmail (and I think DECsnail as well) that NOTESmail
(?) does not Capitalize the node and username.
No biggie... just odd... I thought it would use standard VMSmail
protocol.

That's because MAIL uses 2 different fields for destinations - what shows up in the "To:" line and the real destination node::user. Real VMSmail uses this in sending to an @DIS list, too. The remote MAIL server may understand lowercase as well. See some other hacks in this file that take advantage of this - the anonymous mail "utility". -Mike | |||||
