Aside from keyboard layout (-:), has anyone found any bugs in the VT200 series terminals? #6 <_Jym_>\

A little bit of fiddling with CTRL/S, CTRL/Q and the HoldScreen key seems to cause a system crash (SetUp no longer works, and a power-off-on cycle is necessary).

Yes, indeed. Often, if I'm stopping and starting output over and over, as in reading something slowly that's trying to spew at 9600 baud, terminal dies as stated. For another bug, spurious horizontal bar can be produced on vt241. For method, please see "Terminal Issues" notes file (RANI::TERMINALS), note number 223. Does this bug exist on other vt2xx terminals ? If anyone tries the example in 223 in Terminals, please let me know ! /Eric

The power supplies also have a habit of exploding!

RE: .2 I have produced the "overbar" problem on the vt240. I have not yet been able to isolate the control sequences that cause the problem. Firmware version is V2.1. Mike |
