1310.0. "DE205 hangs during soft reboot ..." by HODJA::CHALONY () Wed May 07 1997 06:20
Soft reboot of systems with a DE205 card hangs on Windows NT Server 3.51 as
soon as we start a program as a service that uses the Performance library. This
happens only when the program runs as a service and it happens whatever the
requested Performance counter is. Everything works fine and the system hangs
only during soft reboot.
Do you see any possible reason in the EWRK3 driver that could explain such a
problem (although many tests have been made this problem has been observed ONLY
when the DE205 card was installed) ?
Is a specific treatment activated within the EWRK3 driver when an application
requests Performance counter value (from a service) ?
Thanks in advance,
Patrick
