Hi, A client running IntraNetWare 4.11 on a Prioris HX 6200 MP is getting this message only after a move to the v3.18 DE500 drivers, and the application of the IntraNetWare sp2 patches: " DE500: Invalid sub-vendor ID detected. Possible hardware problem or non-Digital adapter " The error occurs just before " Performing NWAY auto-negotiation...done. Adapter: DE500-AA " ETHERTSM.NLM is v3.12, MSM.NLM is v3.19. What gives rise to this? Thanks & regards, Adrian Moore [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

1308.1 | Bad SROM hardware | NETCAD::THOMPSON | Tue Apr 29 1997 20:57 | 12 | |
Hi Adrian, This happens when the subvendor id in the SROM is not valid. It means that chances are there is something wrong with his adapter SROM hardware. We should try to swap out your customer's hardware. Please contact JC Tremblay to swap adapters (NETCAD::TREMBLAY). regards, -Brenda |
