I have a customer who has hooked a 8400 via a DE500-AA point to point to a HP T520. The DE500-AA is set to Twisted. The problem they are seeing is at times the 2 systems quit talking to each other. If they try to do a ping from the HP they get a message like NOBUFFER SPACE AVAILABLE. But if the do a ping from the 8400 the circuit starts to work again. Their current work around is to keep a ping going from machine to machine. What could be causing this problem.

What OS? What driver and what version? Update to latest version and try again. pcdrivers:[ethernet.de500.release]50kit27a.zip (unzip with -d) We would need lots more info to help with this. Janice | |||||

THE 8400 is running Digital Unix 4.0a the HP T520 is running HP UX 10.01. How do we check to see what driver the 8400 is using as far as we know we are using the default ethernet driver of Unix 4.0a, the HP is also using it default ethernet driver. Are there later drivers for the DE500-AA that the customer can pull. |
