1268.0. "DE205 Twisted Pair, Alpha NT 4.0 driver?" by MQOOA::LEDOUX (Vincent [email protected]) Thu Feb 27 1997 11:04
I got an Alpha (ISA/PCI) and a DE205.
NT 4.0 server freshly installed.
Using the latest diskette, I tried just about all
possible configs, some won't allow booting NT,
so do, but none properly works.
Configuring the standard everything (2K, 0D000, 300H etc)
let it boot OK.
I can ping to myself, but time out on any other lan TCP node.
A working local node cannot ping the system.
I removed TCP and left only NETBeui. Local nodes can see
the domain, but trying to "click" it says:
"Domain name" Not accessible (Domain name is actualy Kertrats)
"The computer or sharename could not be found"
"Make sure you typed it correctly and try again"
The domain name and server name is unique (tried different
names with same result) It is a primary domain controler.
Is there any bug with the Alpha NT 4.0 driver?
Best regards,
Vince.

1268.1 | Possibly a network config. problem | NETCAD::HILLER | | Wed Mar 19 1997 21:36 | 6 |
| There are no known issues with the EtherWORKS 3 driver. It sounds like
you have some other sort of network config. problem. Check to make sure
that your default route and mask for IP are set correct.
