solve this problem!

| Moving it to Wednesday was a UPN decision, not a UPN38 decision.
There's no way that a sport's minded station like 38, in a sport
fan heavy area like Boston, can avoid all moving around of a show
that happens be scheduled during prime time. At least this gets
advertised and announced when there is a change (check Boston Globe
Sunday TV supplement, nice big ad in the Friday pages.)
They did this so often to B5, that many people gave up on it because
they couldn't figure out when it was on. Now that it's on late Sunday,
it still gets bumped a bit, but that usually means it's on a little
later than the official 11PM start.

| Pretty good episode. Kept me guessing about what was going on, kept up the
suspense and the interest.
Spoilers...
It was a bit of a stretch how readily Janeway and Chakotay were willing to
accept the time loop concept. It was like it was a common occurrence. Of
course, we know it was all in her head anyway, so that could explain it.
I liked the memorial service. The eulogies were well done. Of course, that
was only in her head, so they lost some of their appeal. But the resolution to
the story worked well for me, aside from the similarities to the "Bobby Ewing
back from the dead 'It was all a dream'" stuff in "Dallas".
Next week looks interesting...

| THis was a fun episode..in that it took pieces from the TNG
ie: the 7 minute loop, the one with Geordi and Roe...
Next week..they show them finding a dead Borg.

1059.7 | Nice comm/badge ya got there! | LEVELZ::MARENGO_J | Jim Marengo - Do I smell Lilacs? | Tue Feb 04 1997 12:12 | 9 |
| Here's a little nit for ya!
Janeway's dad had a uniform that I would say was somewhere between the TOS
movies and season 1 of TNG. Even giving the benefit of the doubt that it is
a season 1 TNG uniform, why did he have a completely modern comm/badge like
Janeway was wearing. That style badge wasn't implemented until this series
began.

ok - so everything after the first scene/accident was just the alian
playing with janeway's mind or was there really a time loop.
My thoughts are there was no time loop, but since she kept resisting
death, the alian "invented"additional ways to die so she'd give it up.
Otherwise wouldn't the videans show up each time?
And - if I were janeway - i'd make sure the EMH had to get
command authorization for euthanasia - that one gave me the willies!
