| Wendy,
Note 4.43 will show you a list of topics discussing clubs ... including
a note about starting up a new club.
Are you interested in a specific discipline, ie: western, hunt seat,
showing, eventing, trail riding, saddle seat, etc ?
Are you looking for happenings to go watch, or to participate in with
your horses?
In NH, you may want to join NH Horse and Trail Assoc, which has both a
show division and a trail ride division. Members received notices of
upcoming events, and accumulate points towards year end awards in both
divisions. Even if you dont' participate, there may be some shows near
you to go watch, etc. From there, you'll find yourself on all natures
of mailing lists (I know this from experience :-).
From a non-participant standpoint, what about getting your group
together and attending the Grand Prix jumping shin-dig coming up in
August at Attitash? I dont' know the specific dates off the top of my
head, but Im sure someone in here will.
Sorry, I can't offer name advice. I'm not allowed to anymore, since
encouraging a friend to name her new pet parrot "Hemmoroid" (she did,
her husband had a fit, and the bird is now called "Hemmie").

| I think HEMMIE is a great name! some people have no sense of humor....
Thanks so much for the info. Our club consists of ALL types of riders
Western, English, Dressage, whatever. The events we are interested in
will basically be for watching. We are looking for good ways to help
each other grow, share experiences, and just have a great horsie
time with others that love manure. I'll put Attitash on the top of
the list. And I would still love some name suggestions....however
the "Riding Hemorrhoid's" will probably not get picked!
Keep em coming folks.........Wen
