Sue Jacquart AD::JACQUART DTN 225-4967 Hi, I have two daughters who have just recently begun riding lessons (at least they were riding until all this snow fell). One of them has brought home some information that a Hudson, MA school librarian gave her regarding Pony Club. It sounds like a wonderful thing to get them involved in, but none of the literature she gave me said anything about cost. I did find an old note from former Pony Club members (which made me believe even further that I'd like to have my girls join). Any current information on the club, especially cost of membership, would be greatly appreciated. /Sue

I spoke with a friend of mine who has 2 kids in PC. She couldn't remember exact prices, but she thought they were around ~$100 membership/dues + clinics ($10-$30) + rallies (~$30-$35) + books The clinics aren't mandatory, but if you had a kid who was active in the program, you could expect to pay at least a couple hundred dollars/year (plus any incidentals, like trucking your horse to clinics/rallies if you don't have a trailer. She wasn't sure which PC you would be in in the Hudson MA area, but if you call ONBHPC, they should be able to tell you which club you could try to hook up with. You could call Anne Quill 508-369-5686 membership chairman for Old North Bridge Pony Club. If you can't connect with Anne, try calling Mary Piro, who is a co-DC for ONBHPC. Mary's number is 508-635-9689. Kathy |
