    I have opptunity to get tix's to the games!  but, I need a place to
    stay.  I have a few feeles out that *might* pan out, but just incase I
    was wondering if we have any ALF horse people out there who wouldn't
    mind me and girl friend sleeping over :-)

    NBC Sports would like to clear up some recent confusion surrounding the
    Equestrian coverage during the 1996 Olympic Games. NBC has always planned 
    to include Equestrian coverage as part of the 170 hours we'll broadcast 
    from Atlanta this summer. In fact, the cross-country phase of the 3-day
    endurance team and individual competitions will be shown in primetime on 
    Tuesday, July 23 and Thursday July 25.
    
    After that, we'll have coverage of Equestrian continuing through the
    individual jumping final on the final day of the Olympics, August 4.

    June 23rd on ESPN will be a broadcast of the final selection for
    jumping and dressage from Gladstone. I'll check the times.

    Mary the final selection trials will be held on the 23rd but the 
    Peddlar listed ESPN broadcasting the selection trials on
    June 29th from 10:30pm-midnight with a repeat on Sunday, June 30,
    from 12:30-2:00pm.  Does anyone have more information on this?
    I would hate to miss it.

    You are correct, I just checked the posting I have stuck to my
    calendar.

    I've looked through this week's TV listing and it only shows
    Equestrian events on FRIDAY 7/26.
    
    Can someone give me an update to this and times that it should
    be showing on Tues and Thurs?

    	In the TV Guide, tuesday night's promo page [the one with the 
    	pictures] list equestrian cross coutry, but it is not listed
    	in the verbal promo. Guess that means they will show 2 seconds 
    	of it sometime in the middle of swimming....
    
    

    I bought the TV guide to see if they'll be any Dressage shown, 
    they lsit an abundance of 'equestrian', but it's all Jumping
    or cross country on NBC.  Does NBC own it all? or can their be
    something shown on other channels?

Here's a list of Equestrian events, but not, alas, the broadcast schedule
for them.  Maybe rooting around the NBC/Olympics Web site will turn up
something (http://www.olympic.nbc.com).

I see the 3 day eventing and show jumping mentioned but
NO dressage :-(.

3 day eventing is on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nite
(7/23, 7/24, 7/25) and Friday morning. (This matches what
the Sunday Boston Globe TV guide says in the front sports
section.) Of course they don't say exactly how much they're
going to show. 

Show jumping coverage starts on July 29th.

If anybody finds out if or when they'll be showing the dressage
competition please post something here.
