I've just signed up for a trip to Portland, Oregon for a couple of days in April, for a conference committee meeting. It turns out that I'll have a free day on April 17, a Sunday. Since I've been drooling over all the lectures, clinics and schooling shows coming up in MY area, I thought "Why not see if there's anything going on in Portland that weekend?" (No jokes about the cost of airfare for my horse, now! He doesn't get to go.) I can't remember seeing any notes from Oregon noters, but finding one would be a pleasant surprise! (Or maybe the Daddamio's have a schedule of northwest region activities? What a subtle hint, huh?) I'd be interested in taking a lesson with a reputable instructor if there don't appear to be any clinics or shows to go watch. Closet noters can send me mail if that's easier ;^) --carrie

Re the subtle hint. Yes, we have a schedule of northwest region activities. It appears in the monthly Equestrians' Institute Newsletter. EI is a regional dressage, CT and CD educational organization. Unfortunately, there is nothing listed for April 17 in Oregon. However, if you feel like driving 2-4 hours(one way) there are somethings in WA: Olympia(WA capital - about 2 hours from Portland) Dressage schooling show. Monroe(state fairgrounds - about 4 hours from Portland) H/J show |
