Someone at our barn is trying out a new kind of pad called the
ShockTamer. It's supposed to dissipate the shock between the
various layers of rubber. The brochure says that its widely used
in England and Canada for Mounted Police, steeplechasers, etc.
Has anyone heard of these or know anything about them? They have
one version which has a pop-out center piece to allow treatment
of the frog and such. They look like they might be beneficial and
supposedly they can be reset up to 6-7 times.
