1525.0. "Free cat and kittens" by DELNI::KEIRAN () Tue Sep 10 1991 15:41

    Where I keep my horse, people are constantly dropping off cats
    and kittens, expecting us to care for them. I have taken one
    myself and given a few others away over the years but cannot
    take on anymore at this time. Right now we have a female that
    is less than a year old, 3 colored, medium hair and a real
    sweetheart. She would make a great pet for someone. She also
    has 4 kittens that are about 3 months old, and unfortunatly
    were born in the wall of the barn so we couldn't get to them to
    handle them as babies. Consequently they are a bit wild. The
    colors are, orange tiger, 2 buff tigers and black and brown. Since
    they have lived their whole lives in the barn, they would probably
    make great barn cats. When we feed them, we try to pat them so they
    get used to people. If anyone is interested in seeing them, please
    let me know. I can't understand how people can just dump an animal
    and drive away!!!

    	Linda-

    	We have this problem at my barn...it's so sad to think that people
    	just drop them off to be someone else's responsibility.

    	Anyway, we spayed and neutered about 20 or so of them.....most are
    	still wild, but them do come around to eat. We were always able to
    	place most of the kittens.

1525.6Another free kitty...DELNI::KEIRANTue Jun 30 1992 11:378
    We just had another cat dropped off at our barn. A male
    tiger with a while belly and paws, extremely friendly!
    We figure him to be about 12 weeks old, and he has already
    caught a few mice! He would make a great barn cat for
    someone. Can be seen in Groton or brought to Littleton.
    If interested, please send me mail at DELNI::KEIRAN
