    	Does anyone know about the tent sale of leather goods, carts ,
    blankets and supplies going on in Rhode Island from October 7to14th?
    I found an add in the Boston Globe for it in 10-8-90's paper.  There
    is a phone # for more information  401-934-0097.  It says the sale will
    go on rain or shine..guaranteed bargains.  I tried calling around
    5:30pm but got no answer.  Does anyone live in R.I. that knows what
    this tent sale has to offer...or would be willing to give it a looksie?
    I live in Maine and am searching for a *very cheap* pony harness..yes I
    have an add in the tack section..but this sounds like it might be a
    great scoop...if I had more information.  I will try to call again
    tomorrow and post my findings here.

	Yes, I planned on going there this past Sunday and didnt' make it. It is a tack shop that usually has trucks on the road at horse shows, well end of show season they dump all truck offerings plus new stuff out under a tent and have a large sale. I have the info. at home. I will let you know tomorrow the name, I may take friday off and go,I'll let you know if I do. I don't know if they sell consignment goods.... Nancy

	Here it is... Rhode Island Horse Supply Directions..... from 495 to 95 south to 295 south. Take exit 6 and bear right onto route 6 west. Go about 4 and 1/2 miles to the junction of 116. Go right on 116, take first left onto Peeptoad Rd. and they are less than 1/4 of a mile down the road on the left. Hours are from 7am to 5:30pm. The tent sale is on through the 14th and all sales are final at the tent sale. I was told I can get an Indian leather pony harness complete for $75.00. Good price but not the greatest leather....but it would serve my purspose! Theresa

	i would first call stable yard tack shop.. tell them that "wendy matthews" suggested you call and see what they have on a price for a pony harness.. And mention that you would go with the indian leather... no state tax, and i was all around for show saddles and ended *back there again , and ordered everything custom.

	Thank you to all that gave me input. I have successfully obtained a pony harness for a grand total of $80.25....that suits my purpose well. I tried the harness on my pony and everything fits except the saddle! My pony is too fat!!! He is going on a work schedual begining now...he doesn't get any grain. He's such an easy keeper...I love it. Thanks again everyone. Theresa
