rain gear for rider
spare clothes for after show and you are cold and wet
spare clothes for after ahow and you want to peel off your sweaty show clothes
sneakers/barn shoes
spare halter (for when yours or someone else's breaks cuz the horse pulled back)
spare lead (same reason)
head bumper
chair to sit in
water jugs filled with water from HOME (sometimes H20 at the show is far away
and/or of questionable quality)
sponge
sweat scraper
vetrolin (or some such liniment for wash water)
muck basket for those show grounds that don't want you leaving horse poops in
the parking area
lunging equipment - cavesson, lunge line, lunge whip, side reins, etc (only take
the stuff you normally use)
tack hook to hang tack from (unless you drape the stuff over various parts of
your vehicles)
electrolytes

I put together a folder for each horse I have and include in
that folder :
. registration papers (copies)
. current coggins test
. current vaccination reports (to satisfy any requests)
. any "FOR SALE" sheets that I might want to put up...

Crossties for grooming
Screw in hook for stall door to hang halter on.
Extension Cord and Fan to cool horse.
Flashlight
Hay & Carrots
Clippers & baby oil/highlighter for last minute touchups.
Makeup if you wear it
Clip on heat lamp w/regular bulb for additional light when grooming.
Board or rubber mat for horse to stand on while doing hoof polish
Needle and thread for emergency repairs to clothing
Gloves to protect hands

| we who wear contact lenses should remember:
contact lens case
eye drops or saline (in case of dust in the eyes)
glasses
also sunglasses if it's bright and sunny.

Thanks for all the added suggestions - they're GREAT!
I included some in the list and decided since so many of us
have different requirements for the style of our riding, I would
put in extra lines at the bottom for personal needs. You can
extract this list to your vax account by typing: EXTRACT give file
a name followed by the note number (.9 in this case). Then you can
edit and print from your vax account. Linda mentioned hanging it up
in her trailer for quick reference. Hope that this helps to get the
bunch of you to the shows/events in one piece - I know I need it!

"articulated lorry"! I love it. In the States we call it an
eighteen-wheeler. I'd like a vehicle dedicated to all that, so
I don't have to load and unload every time I want to go somewhere.

| After the most recent show, I decided that I had better remember
lawn chairs for everyone. It makes things a lot more comfortable
for those who come to watch us ride.
Keep the suggestions coming, I'm sure we'll all benefit from
the extra thoughts and comments.
