627.1 | Western Stuff | BOSOX::SANDLER | | Wed Nov 15 1989 10:28 | 10 |
| The No. Andover Equistrian Shop on Rt. 114 has a great selection
of Western boots. Am not sure about shirts.
There is a store in Boston proper near Mass. General that is the
biggest supplier of Western Wear around. The name to the store
is something like Nolan's or Morton's. Sorry about not knowing
the name but I just found out about it and haven't had time to get
there.

| .1 might be referring to Walkers on Boylston Street? They have quite a
selection of boots etc..
Allies Tackshop in RI has alot to cater to the Western horseman.
The pedlar lists a few other places also such as Calico House western
wear, Victory Pass in Derry NH, Countryside in Sterling Ma...

| I agree that Walkers in Boston has a fine selection of boots and wester
wear in general. Their prices aren't the greatest, but... Also,
Helen's Leather on Charles St. (other side o the common from Walkers)
has a nice selstion of boots. There is also El Paso on Newbury St.,
but their line of boots carry the Newbury St. price tags as well! As
the sign sez...El Pass-o! :^) I've found the Equestrian Shop in N.
Andover to have a mediocre selection IMHO. Ever think of mail order
ala Shepplers or something like that?

627.4 | ANOTHER WESTERN SHOP | STAFF::GREENWOOD | | Wed Nov 15 1989 12:27 | 7 |
| There is another shop "WIGWAM TACK SHOP" in central Conn. I think
it is in or very near 'Scotland'. All I know is South on 290 onto
395 down to Rt 14 W.
It is located quite a ways off the beaten path but they have a very
large selection of everything western. Be sure to call first. In the
winter they have some slightly funny hours but well worth the trip.

| Thanks everyone....
Just as an update, We went yesterday to a shop she saw advertised
in the Pedlar...
The Alamo western wear in Franklin, Mass. It was a nice shop and
she found three nice shirts. I also treated myself to a nice white
shirt for showing next year. Very nice people working there and
a few boots along with hats and jewerly too. They supply the square
dancers with clothing and shoes.
I will check out the shop in Worcester...never heard of it before.
We are goin to go to Frye boots in Marlboro to see what they have
in western boots now. I did buy some nice western boots there about
5 years ago for the hubby.
I will pass on the other stores to her tonight.

627.7 | WESTERN SHOP IN TOPSFIELD | HAVOC::GREGOIRE | | Tue Nov 21 1989 10:48 | 8 |
| There is a shop in Topsfield on Route 1 called The Western Connection.
They sell square dance and western attire, i.e., boots, suits,
sportcoats, shirts, etc. The couple who own the shop are Gary and
Sandy and are very helpful and knowledgeable. If they don't have
the item you are interested in they will order it for you.

I was just up at the Kittery, Maine factory outlets a couple of
weeks ago. I happened to be with a friend who wanted to go into
the Kittery Trading Post - the place is *FULL* of western boots,
hats, gloves, clothes...along with deer estrogen, tapes of wounded
quail sounds, bullets, day-glo orange anything, and stuffed animals!
Anyhow, it has what you want and a lot of other entertainment!!

627.9 | Looking For Directions | WMOIS::BIBEAU_K | | Wed Dec 01 1993 12:06 | 10 |
| I am looking for directions to a western clothing shop in southern N.H.
I do not remember the name but I believe it is off of RT. 3
I heard an ad for it on the WCLB radio station 6 or 9 months ago.
I have a friend looking for boots and I remember that store as having a
good selection.
Thanks,
Karen

square dancing stuff too. I think the shop is quite large and that

627.15 | Orlando, Florida has plenty of Western Wear... | RANGER::WASSER | John A. Wasser | Sun Dec 11 1994 21:13 | 6 |

If you're ever in Orlando, Florida (home of Disney World, Sea World
and Universal Studios) and are in the market for western wear, you
are in for a treat! There are two HUGE stores on International
Drive that have walls and walls of boots and hats. Look for
their ads in some of the many free Orlando tourist guides.
