Can anyone provide me with any first-hand information about
Twin Pines Farm in Pepperell (i.e. quality of care, quality
of instruction, anything else anyone may know) ????

1073.3BEWARE OF TWIN PINE FARM!!!CASPRO::MCNUTT_KTue Oct 03 1989 15:356
I had a very BAD experience at Twin Pine this winter and wouldn't
recommend this barn to anyone who cares anything about the way their
animals get treated! (see my note 1057.8) I have run into a couple
of people that have also moved their horses out because of the
    ineffiecent care they provide!!

1073.4bad vibes coming from over here...TOMLIN::ROMBERGKathy Romberg DTN 276-8189Wed Oct 04 1989 13:1011
A couple of horses that used to board over there are now at the barn that I
board at. I was not impressed with the condition they were in when they came
in. These were horses that were there for 'training'. Their feet looked
horrible, they were skinny and the 'training' was doubtful. Now granted, these
horses belong to people who rarely come to see them, but if they were in for
training, they shouldhave been looked after.

Personally, I have never been there, but the place may be okay if you are the
type of owner who is always there to keep an eye on things.

i realize this is very after the fact but for future readers of this
note i feel i must put in my 2 cents.

i have been boarding at twin pine for a year now. i couldn't be
happier. i came inwith an unsound horse with chronic thrush...he was
sound and without any sign of thrush in one month. (or less...) he
has not had any thrush at all for a year. cathy and toby take good
care of the beasts...they were very careful about the stalls being clean
given higgins past history. i take dressage lessons from cathy and
love what she has done for me and my horse. we have moved from
training level to almost ready for 2nd level in one year.

i understand the 'vibes' you all are getting. but remember that every
stable owner has his/her idiosyncrasies. but the bottom line is that
tpf takes care of its boarders . all the boarders here are thrilled to
be there. if anyone would like more information feel free to send me
mail or call me at home (508-448-3428).

with reply .5 of this note entry that is.

I have experience with Twin Pine Farms as I have taken lessons there
and leased horses there. I was always very happy with the owners
(Cathy and Toby Tyler), the care they provided for their horses and the
condition of the barn, riding ring, etc..

I haven't been with Twin Pine since last November but my leaving had
nothing to do with a bad experience.

I think all barns have had good and bad said about them. It's hard to
please everyone especially when the focus of all our concerns are these
animals that we all place in the top three priorities of our lives.

I had a note in here before that said Twin Pine is Fine. It's still
    true (in my opinion).
